EXPLORE KENTUCKY

Laurel Lake & Cumberland Falls

Laurel Lake is a favorite destination for thousands of visitors each year. The quiet coves and cliff-lined shores offer relaxation and quiet reflection, as well as boating, fishing, skiing and scuba diving in one of the deepest and cleanest lakes in Kentucky.

The scenic waterfalls at Cumberland Falls are impressive, often being referred to as “the Niagara of the South.” Anytime of the year, Cumberland Falls is a breathtaking site; but for a truly unforgettable experience, visit during a full moon to try to catch a glimpse of the moonbow; this extremely rare phenomenon, formed by the mist in the air from the falls, is one of only two naturally occurring moonbows in the world.
